Pilsen Wellness Center, Inc. is a community-based not-for-profit agency that provides culturally sensitive services to a multicultural population with limited financial resources. The organizations mission has remained providing quality human services to economically disadvantaged children and families. The agency is comprised of five divisions – Mental Health, Substance Abuse, Youth Services, Early Intervention, and Education which are currently supported through 14 different locations.

We are seeking a highly motivated Substance Use Counselor to join our Cermak Facility located at 3113 W. Cermak Rd. Chicago, IL 60623.

The work schedule available is: Monday- Friday 6:00 am-2:00 pm & alternating Saturday’s. 

Responsibilities and Duties

This individual assesses the participant’s needs, participates in the development and implementation of Individual Treatment Plans, facilitates the provision of appropriate therapeutic and rehabilitative services, and monitors the progress of participants.

Qualifications and Skills

To qualify for this position, you’ll be required to obtain/maintain your Certified Alcohol and other Drug Abuse Counselor (CADC) certification. If not, then an Associate’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field is acceptable or three to five years’ experience in the Substance Abuse Field.
