Prairie Center, a nonprofit alcohol and substance abuse treatment and prevention center, seeks a full time Drug Court Addictions Counselor working in our Urbana facility.
The Counselor will work with clients and the Prairie Center team to provide assessments, individual, and group counseling to outpatient clients.
We seek someone with a solid client-centered approach to addiction treatment and recovery through past work experience and/or educational achievement as well as someone that brings Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) core therapeutic styles to their work.
A Master’s degree in psychology, social work, or related field is preferred. Must possess LPC, LCPC, LSW, or LCSW or show ability to obtain certification or license once hired. A Bachelor’s degree with CADC certification will also be considered. DUI certification is a plus. A valid driver’s license is also required. Job offer is contingent on a successful drug screen and background check.
Prairie Center offers a generous and complete benefits package including vacation, medical, dental, life insurance, and a 401K retirement plan. We are open Monday through Thursday 8 AM - 8PM, and Fridays, 8AM - NOON. The candidate must have the ability to work 1 or 2 evenings a week.
