    The Woodridge Interventions Community Relations Coordinator provides sales, marketing, and customer service activities within the Marketing Department in conjunction with the Admissions Department objectives. The Community Relations Coordinator assesses the needs of the customer. He/she makes the required number of marketing contacts to each account, in order to develop and maintain a long-term referral relationship which will generate a continuous flow of admissions to meet hospital census objectives. 

    Key Responsibilities include:

    The Community Relations Coordinator plans events, provides tours, performs referral source in-services, acts as a liaison between the referral source and the hospital, and seeks out new business development opportunities. The Community Relations Coordinator coordinates the referral and intake process, often speaking with families, clients, staff, and other disciplines in regards to program placement. A working knowledge of mental health and substance abuse is required.

    Position Requirements:

    Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work or Human Services field preferred or Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of two (2) years experience required.
    Prior intake, assessment, admission and crisis intervention experience with a substance abuse population, preferably in an inpatient setting. Experience in marketing, public speaking, and/or public relations is preferred.
    Adequate knowledge regarding appropriate levels and focus of care as related to psychiatric, emotional, or behavioral problems is required.

    Prefer knowledge of crisis intervention and risk assessment, psychiatric diagnoses symptomology, basic chemical dependency, age specific growth and development and crisis and behavior management.
