    Summary This position is responsible for clinical supervision of assigned programs within nine county area.  This position also carries an active client caseload including addiction intervention AODA counseling and recovery support services to clients.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Provide consistent supervision to all staff within assigned programs.
    • Assist in the planning, development, implementation and supervision of assigned programs of the agency; at all times promoting the philosophy and mission of the organization.
    • Prepare, interpret and present reports focusing on program operations.
    • Assist in assurance that staff training needs are met through development and implementation of needed programs.
    • Adhere to service hour protocol established by the agency
    • Facilitate client drug test (as required)
    • Establish work schedules for assigned staff and provide direct coverage when necessary.
    • Ensure the compliance of client’s files and/or records.
    • Assure compliance with agency policies and procedures.
    • Provide representation and consultation with other outside professionals to facilitate coordination, collaboration and cooperation between the agency and the community.


    • Bachelor’s degree preferred in human services or a related field; three to five years experience in human services related activities; or any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the following knowledge, abilities and skills:
    • Good communication and organizational skills.
    • Knowledge of human behavior for the assessment and treatment of substance abuse disorders. Specific knowledge necessary for working with special populations.
    • Knowledge of the signs and symptoms of substance abuse.
    • Knowledge of the ASAM placement criteria and the DSM-IV as it relates to substance-related disorders or able to acquire the knowledge.
    • Knowledge of the Code of Ethics for substance abuse professionals.
    • Knowledge of the federal drug and alcohol confidentiality law (42 C.F.R. Part 2) and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act.
    • Possess a CADC certification through the State Certification Board (IAODAPCA)
    • Knowledge of computers, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the Internet.
    • Knowledge of the criminal justice system.
    • Ability to work with a diverse population
    • Ability to work flexible hours and travel as needed (evening/weekend hours).
    • Must be available to attend meetings and meet the needs of the clients throughout the city, counties or wherever needed (a valid driver’s license, current auto insurance and reliable automotive transportation are required)

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
