Under the supervision of the charge nurse and in consideration of the specific needs and behaviors of specific age groups, the Chemical Dependency Counselor will assist in assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and documentation of the individualized plan of care for the patients on our inpatient behavioral health unit. The chemical dependency counselor will utilize evidence-based knowledge and interventions and be an active member of the multidisciplinary treatment team. Previous individual and group counseling experience required. Bachelor's degree in behavioral science and Certified Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Counselor (CADC) required. Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR Certification required.
Inpatient behavioral health experience caring for both psychiatric and chemically dependent patients preferred.
