Meet The IAODAPCA Staff . . . . . . . .Julia Ford, IAODAPCA Operations I have been with IAODAPCA since June 21, 2006. I was so excited to join the IAODAPCA family that day. Even though I previously worked in the fields of substance abuse and mental health previously, I can say I have gained considerable knowledge by working here and I am very grateful for this. One of my duties includes reviewing applications for organizations who wish to provide IAODAPCA recognized CEUs at their workshops. It has been a pleasure working with so many individuals across Illinois and even other states. I am also the contact person for the Accredited Training Programs (ATP) and have been enjoying this new part of my job. Some of you may have even had contact with me through phone calls regarding recertification, continuing education units, and extensions. I graduated from Millikin University with a BA in Experimental Psychology and Sociology and from Illinois State University with a MA in Clinical Psychology. I am a LCPC, a CADC, and a MISA I. I have worked in community mental health, day treatment, and outpatient substance abuse. I enjoy spending time with my husband, Chris, and our four year old daughter, Alaina. I like to exercise and have found great joy in running and cardio kickboxing. This year I ran my second half marathon! However, I must state, that my favorite activity is spending time with my daughter. She brings sunshine wherever she goes. Julia
Kristen Lieving, IAODAPCA Operations I joined the IAODAPCA family in March of 2009, it was right before the annual Spring Conference. I was able to observe the preparation for the conference and all of the teamwork that goes into putting it all together. I was amazed! It allowed me to do some research on the different types of credentialing and become acclimated to my new surroundings here at IAODAPCA while the rest of the group was at the conference. My area of responsibilities here are mainly in the application process, but I also help with the recertification process as well. I enjoy talking with the members when they call, and helping them through the certification or recertification process. Being one of the newest staff members here, I may not have all the answers for you at first, but I will find them for you so we can get through the process together! When I am not at IAODAPCA, I like to spend time with my family and friends. I enjoy watching football with my husband (the Chicago Bears of course!), being outside, gardening, reading a good book of fiction, taking my dog Mollie for a walk, and bonfires on a cool fall night. Although we do not have any children, our little dog Mollie keeps us busy, along with visiting our families that live out of the area. Kristen Print Version |
