Loyola University latest to become IAODAPCA AccreditedThe Illinois Certification Board is pleased to announce our newest Accredited Training Program, Loyola University Chicago. On January 29, 2010, Loyola University Chicago completed the process of becoming an Advanced Accredited Training Program (ATP). There had been great interest from the students and the school in the development of the program. Some of the students even delayed their graduation to await the opportunity of the ATP. The school believes that the opportunity to become certified as alcohol and other drug abuse counselors will make their students more marketable as well as better clinicians. Lynn Boyle is the program coordinator and one of the faculty members for the program. Alec Ross and Barney Straus are also part of the faculty for the ATP. The ATP resides in the Social Work Program at Loyola University Chicago. The Illinois Certification Board looks forward to working with our newest program and believes it will be a beneficial resource to those seeking education in the field.
