IAODAPCA Spring Conference Wrap-Up

The 2009 IAODAPCA Spring Conference is always an event that we look forward to and this year was no exception. All year the field endured budgets cuts, layoffs and downsizing, with those obstacles still looming, healthcare professionals gathered with their heads held high and proudly represented the field. Determined to further their knowledge and network with their peers, members attended top of the line workshops led by presenters such as Mark Sanders, Bob Carty, Kellie Gage and Brian Lengfelder just to name a few. Topics were diverse, motivating and intense but it was what attendees needed and wanted. We know that your time is valuable and that your hard earned dollars need to be invested wisely, which is why each year IAODAPCA strives to meet your expectations. Also, congratulations to Roger Crum and Hillary Coffey who were both winners of the free conference registration for next year’s event.
The exhibit hall was full of vendors, with our current troubled economy, it was touching to have a full exhibit hall. This included returning exhibitors and those joining us for the first time. IAODAPCA could not continue to produce such great conferences with out our vendors’ support. Thank you to all who invest in this event. We hope to see you back next year.
Volunteers stepped up and ran the show. IAODAPCA was down 3 staff members this year and volunteers did what they needed to do to fill the void. Gilbert Rapp, one of IAODAPCA’s dedicated members, took the lead on this project and did an outstanding job. Thank you all for taking time out of your busy schedules to assist with our conference. We could have not done it without you.
