Registered Dual Disorder Professional (RDDP)

The Registered Dual Disorder Professional (RDDP) is specifically developed for experienced mental health counselors. The Registered Dual Disorder Professional promotes the cross credentialing of substance abuse and mental health counselors and provides a process by which they can demonstrate competencies in both areas of practice.

Requirements
  • Hold a valid license as an Independent Practitioner
  • Provide proof that they're in good standing with the State of Illinois Department of Professional Regulation (Copy of current IDPR license),
  • Complete the application and sign the assurance and release
  • Pay appropriate fees
  • Pass the alcohol and other drug abuse equivalency written exam
  • Applicant does not have to demonstrate work experience.
  • Applicant does not have to demonstrate training and education
  • Applicant does not have to demonstrate previous clinical supervision.
