Certification Classifications and Requirements
- Certified Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drug Abuse Preventionist (CADP)
- Certified Senior Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drug Abuse Preventionist (CSADP)
- Certified Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drug Abuse Preventionist (CADP)
- 1 year ATODA prevention experience or ATODA prevention volunteer experience done under the direct supervision of an IAODAPCA certified ATODA professional within the past 4 years
- 120 hours of supervision/mentoring received
- 100 hours of ATODA prevention education (to include six hours of prevention ethics)
- Successful completion of the IC&RC written examination

- 4 years ATODA prevention experience or ATODA prevention volunteer experience done under the direct supervision of an IAODAPCA certified ATODA professional within the past 7 years
- 240 hours of supervision/mentoring received
- 150 hours of ATODA prevention education (to include six hours of prevention ethics)
- Successful completion of the IC&RC written examination
