Updated CEU Requirement and Fee Reminders (Updated July 1, 2020)
The ICB Board of Directors has agreed to remove the maximum number of distance learning CEUs you can submit for recertification, for one full year. If the expiration date on your credential certificate is between 7/1/2020 and 6/30/2021, you may submit distance learning hours for all CEUs due for recertification. There is no limit! You can utilize both distance learning and the ICB Bibliocredit program to fulfill your requirements. ALL CEUs MUST STILL BE ICB APPROVED and qualify under appropriate categories, as outlined by the Model for each credential. Bibliocredit fees are due at time of submission for approval. Be sure to review our extensive continuing education bulletin for approved CEUs. If the course does not have an ICB Program Number, it is not ICB approved and must be petitioned for review. The $10.00 petition fee will be enforced.
All biennial fees/annual fees are due by your due date. You cannot be credited for an extension unless the recertification fees are either paid in full, or a payment plan created. The ICB team will email your invoice 60 days prior to your expiration date. It is your responsibility to be sure we have your current email address on file.
For those with an expiration date on their credential certificate of 8/1/2020 and beyond, extension fees will also be required if you are not able to submit your CEUs prior to your expiration date. At the time of this posting, you will have one full month to finish your CEUs online to keep your credential current. Understanding that additional time may be needed, we will continue to work within the extension parameters outlined in the Model for each credential. Extensions are $10.00 per month for a maximum of six months.
