Process Addictions Committee White Paper
At the 2011 IAODAPCA Spring Conference, the Process Addictions Committee presented the findings of their review and research. Their White Paper includes a definition of process addictions, a compare and contrast of accepted criteria for substance abuse disorders and some of the common behavioral disorders, an analysis of surveys to experts conducted by the committee, an examination of preparation and training needed for helping clients with process addictions, and the committee’s recommendation of a Process Addictions Endorsement.
